Parents Must Be Counseling Marriage Couple not Pastors- Rev Isaac Oppong.

Rev. Isaac Oppong, the Founder of Healing Mountain of God Ministry in Suhum Municipality of the Eastern Region has declared that, parents must be counseling their children who are ready to marry not the pastors whenever they want to marry.

He said, some Pastors counselors don't know the character of young men and women who are ready to marry, it's their parents who train them in their homes and know very much about their children.

He said, some Pastors don't know much about their  members charater, so when it comes to marriage issues, they must leave it to the parents to handle or counseling them, the pastors job is to pray to support the couple feom the day of their marriage.

Adding that, this time some of the pastors counselors are collapsing a lot of marriages through their influences in most marriages.

Speaking with Alrich24newsgh.com news Reporter Apelete Kofi-Michel, said dealing with family issues can be an exhausting ordeal.

Many factors are under consideration in the process of marriage and it's to be well considered such as emotions, experiences, outlooks, and individual conditions play a role a major role befor and after the marriage.

Couple with these factors, the fact is that all the family members needs to be taken into account and not shoul be given to only the pastors to counsel the newly marriage couples.

All these make family issues more challenging to deal with. There are instances where a couple needs professional help. That is when parents counseling in couples is an effective solution not the pastors counselors.

He therefore urged, the young men and women who are ready to marry to go to their parents for counseling, their parents are those who train them and know their character very well not the pastors hence the pastors must refrain from taking the counseling aspects of marriage.

He said, they will also try to gauge and get an estimate of the personalities and experiences of the individual family members.

He added that, the parents will also attempt to identify each member’s weaknesses and strengths achieve this through sessions that involve detailed discussions and conversations. Identify problems, after understanding the family situation is the best way to make the marriage a success.

He added that, family counseling can also focus more on the married couple itself. It primarily uses methods utilized in relationship and couples therapy.
