Armed Men Attacks and Kills Gold Dealer In Wassa Saamang in Amenfi East.

A number of armed men on Friday, 25th August, 2022, evening round 8:00pm attacked, shot and killed a gold buyer, Essah Moro popularly know as Agya Moro in front of his house at Wassa Saamang in the Amenfi East District of the Western Region. 

The gold buyer who is in his fifty's (50) and married to two wives met his untimely death after he drop off from his car and on his way to his house.

Accorsing to the information gathered, the deceased first wife delivered two weeks ago whiles the second wife too delivered two months now.

Some of the eyewitness Alrich24newsgh.com speaks with said, the robbers had earlier monitored the house the man was living in since in the afternoon before the incident with the purpose of monitoring the area.

They continued that, the robbers in the evening was waiting for the gold buyer after he arrived in the  house as he dropped from his car and attempted to enter the gate of his house, the robbers rushed on him and attacked him, took away his bag containing an amount of money for his business, packed gold, and other personal items and run away into a nearby bush.

They explained that, the gold buyer in his attempt to challenge the robbers rushed on them into the bush to collect back the gold and the money but the targeted and shot him and killed him instantly.

The police commander in Wassa Akropong Division Supt. Simon Seth-Orglo was called to the scene with the patrol team 2 hours after the incident of robbery but no arrest has been made whiles investigation continues to trace for the perpetrators.
