Berekum West District Green Ghana Project Targeted Jinijini SHS To Prevent Encroaches-DCE.

The District Chief Executive Officer of Berekum West District in the Bono Region, Honourable Dominic Oppong together with the Bono Regional Minister Honourable Justina Awo Banahene, the District Agric Director Mr. Frederick Danso, Forestry Commission Gurds, Berekum West Constituency New Patriotic Party Chairman, Mr. Peter Asoma Boampong, Assembly Staff on June 10th, 2020 embarked on the Green Ghana project to plant trees of about 13,200 in the District which most especially Jinijini Senior High School was the target for the project to fight against encroaches on the school land.


Honourable Dominic Oppong speaking to the media exclusively with Alrich24newsgh.com after the exercise said, the purpose for the Green Ghana project in the District was on Jinijini Senior High School where encroaches are taking over the school land and a number of 2,400 trees were planted to help prevent encroaches from taken over the school land which already has been occupied by some encroaches.


Honourable Oppong in his speech commended the President, Nana Akufo Addo for the initiative to Green Ghana and calls on all to support the exercise to protect the trees that have been planted in the country to help serve the purpose of the initiative for a sustainable environment.

The Bono Regional Minister, Honourable Justina Awo Banahene also commended the assembly for the project and urged them to see to it that the project becomes successful. 


The District Agric Director, Mr Fredrick Danso also added that, the focus was on the Jinijini Senior High School was very laudable approach to help protect the school land from encroaches since it care is not taken, encroaches will take over the land hence the plans to secure tha land of the school fo future generation.


He again encouraged the youth to always participate in the tree planting exercise because as the youth are growing, the tree planted too are also growing for the purpose of the future use which will help a lot and call on the youth to accept the decision to help protect the trees planted.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
