Wontumi Radio & Movement TV start test transmissions in Accra

 

Wontumi Radio and Movement TV  have started test transmissions today in the capital, Accra.


The FM station is operating on the dial 95.9mhz while the TV station is on Multi TV and other digital platforms.


The newly-born stations will mainly cover politics and sports as well as serve as a medium for businessmen to advertise.

The stations were birthed from Wontumi 101.3 FM and Wontumi TV in Kumasi under the Wontumi Communications Limited owned by Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Mr. Bernard Antwi Boasiako, popularly known as Chairman Wontumi.


The new stations will use "Onyame Nsa Wom", the same tagline for his first two stations established in Kumasi.

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms.
