Taxi Drivers of Wassa-Daboase Crying As Pragia Takes Over their Taxi Business.

TAXI DRIVERS CRYING AS PRAGYIA TAKES OVER THEIR TAXI BUSINESS AT DABOASE.

Taxi drivers of Waasa-Daboase in the Wassa East District of the Western Region are lamenting about the collapse of their business in the district as a result of the introduction of the pragya business to the area.

Apart from the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolitan Assembly which is yet to accept the activities of the pragyai business, the pragyai business has become a major transport service in other municipalities and districts in the western region of Ghana hence the collapse of taxi drivers activities.

Some taxi drivers in Daboase has complained bitterly over the introduction of the pragyia in the country saying, their business has been affected and no longer lucrative since the pragya came into the system to compete with them.

They added that the main purpose of the pragyia business was to do town running services but they have deviated from their main job to join them in the main road causing interferences in their work on  the main road.

They lamented that most of the pragyia drivers drive carelessly and are contributing to road accidents in Daboase.

However some pragyia drivers also in an interview with Alrich24newsgh.com debunked the allegations that most of the road accidents in the area are as a result of their activities and they cannot be blamed.

They called on the Taxi drivers to accept the challenge since they are all contributing to the nation's development as the pragyia business has reduced high unemployment rate in the country.

The passenger who on board a pragyia tricycle services, explained that, they prefers the Pragyai services to Taxi due to it's smartness of service.
