Students of St. Paul R/C JHS Construct Classroom Blocks and Appeals for Support.
The Students of St. Paul Roman Catholic Junior High School pupils at Tokuroano in the Krachi East Municipality of the Oti Region, has personally commenced construction of a 4-unit classroom blocks for teaching and learning.
The pupils at the school study under tress with no classes available for them and when it rains they find it difficult to get to study.
The construction of the mud classrooms has been necessitated by the refusal of their request for a new classroom blocks from the authorities after several attempts and proposals for new classrooms.
The Headmaster of the school, Mr Humphrey Agah said, the new classroom blocks would not only provide comfort when completed but also the congenial atmosphere for effective teaching and learning in the school.
The Headmaster explained that, education is a key to development in any society as it develops the individual capacity, physically, emotionally and intellectually but the case in their school is otherwise.
Mr Agah therefore appealed to non-governmental organisations, charitable organizations, corporate entities, philanthropists and other agencies in abroad to come to their aid to ensure the future of these little children are secured.
Madam Cynthia Adzoda who is a female teacher aldo added that, it had always been difficult as a school to meet it's learning objectives set for the academic year because classes are often interrupted by rain fall whenever it rains.
She pleaded with government for provision of a befitting ICT laboratory, bungalows, office and toilet facility for the pupils in the community to feel as school children because they are Ghanaians and have to get their fair share of the national cake.
Some of the students speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com said the situation is very worrying as classes ends abruptly whenever it threatens to rain.
They alleged that, the school has no record of a single furniture donated by successive governments and due to that they always sit on the bare floor to write and study.
