High Prices of Agro Chemicals Affecting Our Farming Activities-Chief Farmer Call For Support.

HIGH PRICE OF AGROCHEMICALS AFFECTING OUR FARMING ACTIVITIES-CHEIF FARMER CRY FOR SUPPORT.

The farmers at Kwabenateten and Kwame-Nsiakrom a farming communities in the Tano South Constituency of Ahafo Region has appealed to the Minister of Agriculture, and government to come to their aid as high prices of agro chemicals is affecting their farming activities.


The farmers leader who also is double as Chief farmer in three farming communities including Kwabenateten, Kwame-Nsiakrom and Biokrom, Mr, Joseph Kwabena Agyemang has expressed worry over the high price of agrochemicals is becoming unbearable to the farmers and has affected their daily farming activities in the area, especially the price on fertilizer amongst other chemicals.


He added that, if care is not taken the high prices on agriculture inputs will deter most of the people from farming and urged the government and the minister in charge of agriculture should should create the enabling atmosphere for the farmers to buy the agrochemicals to improve their productions across the country. 


In an interview during a communal labour at Kwabenateten community to improve upon the sanitation in the area, the chief farmer also called on agro chemical producers as much they can to reduced the prices of their products to support farmers for high yield of production.


Assemblyman for Adomako-Krom Electoral Area, Hon, Prosper Kwabena Kpantol took the opportunity to appreciate the youth in his electoral area for their involvement in farming  and urged the government and authorities in the Constituency to provide the necessary agriculture input and resources for their farming activities in the area since in doing that will encourage the youth to venture to agriculture.
