Parliament Approves 2022 ‘Agyenkwa’ Budget. Parliament, made up of mainly the members of the Majority side has set aside an earlier decision of the House to reject the 2022 Budget by the Minority members. First Deputy Speaker, Joseph Osei Owusu says the decision taken by the House last Friday in rejecting the 2022 Budget is not valid because it did not satisfy the standing orders provision that mandates one-half of members to be present to take such decisions. The First Speaker has currently asked that members present in the Chamber be counted to ensure that they satisfy that provision and then proceed to put forward another vote for the approval or rejection of the 2022 budget.   The move now clears the way for Parliament to conduct another vote on the approval or rejection of the budget.  "NO BED SYNDROME"- NANA POKU OKUKRUDOFO MAKES APPEAL TO PARLIAMENTARIANS TO INTERVENE. Prempeh College has won the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) Prempeh College has won the 2021 National Science and Maths Quiz (NSMQ) to bring their as champions to five. They won with 53 points as against 49 by the Presbyterian Boys’ Senior High School (PRESEC.) Keta came third with 30 points. KETASCO earned Ghc3000 from Absa Bank as bronze winners. PRESEC did very well and was close but it was not their year. The Quiz Mistress congratulated them as she announced their prize as Ghc4900 from Absa Bank.
