SUNYANI WEST MCE MEETS HEADS OF DEPARTMENTS AND ASSEMBLY STAFF.

The Municipal Chief Executive for Sunyani West Hon Kusi Boadum on 22nd October, 2021, held separate meetings with the heads of department, staff and executive committee members of the assembly.

In a brief introductory statement, the Coordinating Director for the assembly Mr Gordon Domayele, speaking at the staff meeting assured the MCE that the entire staff was ready to offer all the technical support needed to realise his vision. He said the vision of the MCE which is the vision of the President of the Republic of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo must be the objective of the staff.

Addressing the staff, Hon. Kusi Boadum thanked the President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo for trust and confidence reposed in him to represent him in the area.

He also expressed his deepest appreciation to the Municipal Coordinating Director and the entire staff for the warm reception enjoyed so far and was of the believe that it shall continue throughout his tenure.

Hon Boadum admonished the staff to respect each other and work together as a team in order to achieve the common goal of developing the municipality.

He said he would operate an open door administration where suggestions, questions and even constructive criticism would be welcomed.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council.
