An Unidentified Man Suspected to be Thief Killed at Berekum-Mpatasei.

AN UNIDENTIFIED MAN SUSPECTED TO BE THIEF KILLED AT BEREKUM MPATASEI.

A 31 year-old man suspected to be a thief has been killed by an unknown persons at Mpatasei in the Berekum East Municipality of the Bono Region. 


According to eye witnesses, they suspect the man was caught in the act of stealing between the boarders of Mpatasei and Adom, a suburb of Berekum in the early hours of today Saturday 30th October, 2021.


Speaking to the Assembly Member of the area,  Hon. Gabriel Kyere explained that, armed robbery cases has become rampant in the area as most people always complain of stealing of their items as a result of that he believes some unidentified people took the live of the robber.


He has reported the case to the Berekum District Police Command and the body of the deceased has been deposited at the Holy Family Hospital mortuary in Berekum.

The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum.
