Tano North Assembly Members Endorsed MCE With 100% Votes.

TANO NORTH ASSEMBLY MEMBERS ENDORSED HON. ERNEST KWATENG AS MCE.

The Assembly Members of Tano North Municipal Assembly in the Ahafo Region has confirmed Hon. Ernest Kwanteng as the MCE for the area.

He pulled 36 votes representing 100% after he was reappointed by the President to continue his good works.

The election was conductor by the electoral commission and it was witness by the Ahafo Regional Minister, the Traditional authorities, Opinion leaders and Assembly Members among others.

Hon. Ernest Kwanteng in an interview with commended the President Nana Akufo-Addo for the reappointment as the MCE for the area.

He thanked the assembly members for endorsing him for the second time and promised to work with them all the time.

Hon. Ernest Kwanteng stated that he will continue the well endowed administration they saw over the four years ago and will worked tirelessly for the developmental projects to benefit the people in the Municipality.

He called on all and sundry to support his administration this time around for the better cause of the people.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container. His death attracted a crowd of the Berekum people to the scene on the street of Nyamebekyere as everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the deceased over the incident of frequent robbery attacks and stealing in the Municipality. BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Omanhene Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been nominated today at Manhyia Palace by the Omanhemaa of Berekum Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II. After a long anticipation over who would become the next paramount chief of Berekum Traditional Area of the Bono region which was gradually delaying in the selection of the next occupant of the Berekum paramount seat has been resolved amicably for the selection of Chief Nana Kofi Asante Krobea by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been unveiled, nominated and presented to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia palace today, 18th May, 2026.
