Dormaa East Assembly Members Endorse District Chief Executive Hon. Emmanuel Agyeman with 100% YES.

The President Akufo-Addo's nominee for the Dormaa East District Assembly, Hon. Emmanuel Akwasi Agyeman has been overwhelmingly confirmed as the new District Chief Executive of the area on Wednesday 29th September, 2021.


A number of 25 Assembly Members who participated in his confirmation, gave him 25 ‘Yes’, to represent a 100% resounding confirmation.


Hon. Emmanuel Agyemang while appreciating his confirmation promised to continue the good works of his predecessor.


The Bono Regional Minister representative at the ceremony tasked him to carry on with the well-intended programs and activities of the assembly as well as the NPP government while being aware of the expectation of his leadership.


Urged him to channel his positive energy into fighting all the societal challenges that have consistently become detrimental to the development of the assembly.


Witnessing the comfirmation were traditional authorities, concerned natives in the area and the leadership of the party in the region.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Omanhene Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been nominated today at Manhyia Palace by the Omanhemaa of Berekum Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II. After a long anticipation over who would become the next paramount chief of Berekum Traditional Area of the Bono region which was gradually delaying in the selection of the next occupant of the Berekum paramount seat has been resolved amicably for the selection of Chief Nana Kofi Asante Krobea by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been unveiled, nominated and presented to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia palace today, 18th May, 2026.
