Berekum West DCE Confirmed with 100% Endorsement by Assembly Members.

BEREKUM WEST ASSEMBLY CONFIRMS GOVERNMENT NOMINEE WITH 100% ENDORSEMENT.

The Berekum West District Assembly have overwhelmingly confirmed the president’s nominee for the district as the assembly members have given the nominee a 100% endorsement.


The confirmation ceremony which took place at the Presbyterian Church at Jinijini saw, traditional authorities and many concerned natives gracing the occasion.


Prior to the confirmation, the Bono Regional Minister, Justina Owusu-Banahene seized the opportunity to urge the Assembly members to work together to uphold the unity of the assembly.


She emphasized the importance of the votes of the assembly members stating that 'their votes will help address the developmental challenges of the district.

Hon Dominic Oppong the new District Chief Executive for Berekum West after the swearing in ceremony told the media that he will be DCE for all and reiterated his commitment to creating jobs for the teaming unemployed youth in the district through agriculture.


He also stated that he was determined to working to reduce the poverty levels of the masses.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
