KOFI ADOMA CALLS ON GHANAIANS TO EMBRACE LOCAL TOURISM.

The Morning Show  Host of Angel TV/Fm's Anopa Bofou, Kofi Adoma Wamwani has advised Ghanaians to support the promotion of the local tourism.

At the station's routine road show program mounted at the Eastern Regional Capital, Koforidua with the morning show crew, Kofi Adoma hosted one of the officers at the Bonsu Eco Park Gardens also known as Arboretum to explore the tourist site.

The Arboretum, the name of the Eco gardens is a botanical garden devoted to trees and a place where trees of all kinds are gathered and preserved purposely for relaxation.

According to Mr Asare Frimpong, an officer at the Eco Park revealed that, the park was established in 1935 by the Dutch colony who settled the place whiles they were mining and later converted it to Arboretum Eco Park because of it's well endowed natural resources.

Kofi Adoma in his exploration at the park called on Ghanaians to embrace the local tourism as he managed to ride on a horse for the first time adventurersly by sitting on (Kukuwaa), a name given to a horse at the gardens together with a tour guide Mr Frimpong to explore the place, an experience which was on live TV.

The Bonsu Eco Park gardens has two canopy walk ways built in for both adults and children with a length of 48 metres with 4 different platforms and bridges along the way. The canopy walk ways only can contain 120kg of persons at a time, 10 adults and 20 children to walk on it.

Apart from the canopy walk ways, the place can boost of a different kinds of trees including herbal gardens that has been lasted over 100 years at the park. Some of the names of the trees are African Oak also known as Danwuma in Twi among other trees.

At the park, Zipline has also constructed a platform that connect tourists from the canopy walk ways through to the grounds an exciting experience Kofi Adoma had without fear of whatsoever to encourage everyone to experience same.

Kofi Adoma with full of courage and boldness did his best to explore the place immediately he was welcomed to the park though some of his camera crew couldn't managed to walk on the walk ways except with only one cameraman Atwu.

Kofi therefore inscribed his name on the Africa Oak tree on the canopy walk way. Adding that if Ghanaians will have any place to visit other than abroad Bonsu Eco Park is another exciting place one can visit to observe the creatures natural beauty.

The gardens is located at Bonsu on Koforidua road and advised those who travel to abroad for the purpose of tourism should rather consider the local tourism sites in Ghana.
