Tanoso Traditional Council Warns Duayaw Nkwanta Omanhene to stay away From their Lands Else He Will See The Unexpected.
The chiefs and residents of Adengo a farming community at Tanoso in the Tano North District of Ahafo Region has appealed to th Regional Minister of Ahafo, the Overlord of Ashanti Kingdom His Royal Majesty Otumfour Osei Tutu and the President Nana Akufo Addo, to as a matter of urgency come to their aid to settle a land disputes between them and the Omanhene of Duayaw Nkwanta, Nana Boakye Tromo II.
The agitated residents claimed the Paramount Chief of Duayaw Nkwanta has given the people in the community six (6) months ultimatum to vacate their lands and relocate or resettle to an unknown location with their families and properties.
According to the chiefs and residents of Adengo Community, their forefathers settled at their current community over 150 years ago for farming till date, which until recently the Paramount Chief of Duayaw Nkwanta, Nana Boakye Tromo II called their elders and warned them to vacate the town by the end of December 2021 with an intention to claim ownership of their land and the community without even providing them with resettlement plans where they will resettle with their families.
The chiefs and the residents appealed to the President and other authorities who matters to intervene in the situation because their forefathers lived on the land over 150 years ago and have built heir properties on the land and has nowhere to resettle even not ready to move with their families.
The Odikro of Adengo, Nana Asare speaking to the media implored on the government through the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, Otumfour Osei Tutu II and other authorities to treat the situation as urgent to settle all disputes and issues leading to what the Omanhene wants to achieve.
The Komthene of Tanoso Traditional Council, Nana Asare Bediako Obrempong Il, also send a strong warning to Duayaw Nkwanti Omanhen, that if he tries and attempts to take over their land from them on the said date, then he should prepare for the unexpected since they will not allow him to claim what doesn't belongs to him.

This is not acceptable for the Duayaw/Nkwanta Manhene to do that. We are now in modern Ghana.We need peace.
