GHANAIAN CHILDREN AT GROBETE CROSSES BOARDER TO ATTEND SCHOOL AT IVORY COAST IN JAMAN NORTH.
Parents at Grobete in the Jaman North District of the Bono Region has appealed to the government to provide their children with classroom facilities as their children has to crossed to the boarders Ivory Coast for their education.
Alrich24newsgh.com interaction with some parents during a visit to the community explained that because there is no school in their community, the children in the community has to travel several miles on foot from their Ghana boarders to Ivory Coast to attend school every day which to them, poses danger to the lives of their children.
They added that, because the distance is very long, the younger ones are not able to start school at normal age and to attend school with the grown up ones.
Meanwhile, some of the farmers also took the opportunity to complained about the bad road linking Grobete to the District capital, Sampa. The farmers say, most of their farm produce got rotten on the farm since drivers feel reluctant to drive through the bad road.
They are therefore calling on government to provide the town with classrooms to enable their wards to access basic education and also to attend to their bad road.
