A 54 Year Old Man Shot Dead At His Farm Over Land Dispute In Assin South District.

A 54 year old man Kofi Asare has been shot and killed in his Cocoa farm by one Joshua Baidoo 37 years over a disputed land letigation at Nnuanua Fante in the Assin South District of the Central Region.



Alrich24newsgh.com has gathered that, the alleged suspect had earlier threatened to kill the deceased over land litigation disputes. 


The incident occurred on Thursday, 22nd July, 2021 when the deceased was in his cocoa farm when the alleged suspect confronted him with a heated argument, and in the process shot the man below his abdomen.

An eyewitness explained, heard the gunshot and approached the scene and found the deceased in a pool of blood with a little life left in him.


However, as the deceased was bleeding profusely managed to mention the name of the suspect saying "Joshua has shot me in an attempt to kill me."


The community in their  efforts to rescue the deceased, found him dead on their way to the hospital.


The body has since been deposited at the St. Francis Xavier  Hospital mortuary for autopsy  


The police was informed and the suspect has been arrested just this morning for investigations to begin.
