Omanhene of Berekum commits NPP and NDC to pledge for peace in 2020 elections.

OMANHENE OF BEREKUM COMMITS POLITICAL PARTIES TO SWEAR AN OATH OF PEACE. 

The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II has called political parties in Berekum to swear an oath of peace towards this year's general election in the municipality. 


The Omanhene tasked the two political parties Chairmen, their Parliamentary Candidates and Independent Candidate to pledge an allegiance of peace to the people of Berekum. 

He charged them to sign the pledge of peace which they have committed to abide by before, during and after the elections in Berekum.

Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II advised them to adhere to all the rules set out by the election security task force and what he has also given out to them to forgo all kinds of procession after their political rallies in Berekum to avoid any form of clashes that may arouse.

Both the NPP and NDC as well as the Independent candidates all sweared the oath of peace to commit themselves to maintain peace before, during and after the elections. 

The election security task force and NCCE all pledged to promote peace in 2020 general elections in Berekum.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
