NPP SUPPORTER ASSAULTED AT BEREKUM-JAMEDEDE


An NPP supporter in Berekum West Constituency of the Bono Region, Amos Boakye a.k.a Amando has been hit on the head with a stick. 


The victim was on a campaign tour with other supporters of the NPP to amass vote for the party on Sunday 6th September, 2020. 

The incident occurred on Sunday after their routine Sunday morning health walk in the constituency at Jamdede.  


According to the victim, he met Okyei on his way home who claimed to beat Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng whenever there roads cross. He challenged Okyei and resulted in a heated argument "the next minute, he had a stick which used to hit my head and neck till I was unconscious".


It took the timely intervention of a member of the campaign team at Jamdede, Mr. Paul Asare to rush the victim to the Zongo clinic.


Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.comMr. Paul Asare, he expressed shock of the incident and called for the arrest of Okyei. He advised constituents to seek peace ahead of election 2020 and the police has been informed of the situation which an arrest has not been made.
