Berekum West district finally elects Presiding member after some months.

BEREKUM WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY ELECTS NANA ANTHONY ADDAE AS PRESIDING MEMBER.


After six months of operation without a Presiding member, the assembly members of Berekum West District has finally settled on one. 


Out of the 27 assembly members, 25 voted Yes for Nana Anthony Addae Kwrang, a government appointee and Akumuhene of Fetentaa and 2 voted No against.   


Taking the oath of secrecy to commences his work, the District Magistrate Court Judge, His Worship Simon Gaga, charged the new presiding member to abide by all the rules governing his work for a successful service to his co-members.

Hon. Nana Anthony Addae Kwrang thanked the assembly members for their massive support shown him and pledged to work hand in hand. He called for unity, love and cooperation among themselves to enable them execute their mandate expected from them as electoral representatives.


Hon. Isaac Osei, the DCE of the Berekum West District Assembly, again applauded the assembly members for not disappointing the assembly but gave them a presiding member. 


He pleaded for unity to be prevail among the assembly members to work as a team to seek for the progress of the district.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
