Thieves breaks into Berekum-Koraso Methodist Church Ghana amidst Covid 19 restrictions.

BEREKUM - THIEVES BREAKS INTO A CHURCH

The Methodist Chuch Ghana in Berekum-Koraso in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region woke up to see their church empty without any instruments.

Mr. Dartey Stephen, the Caretaker of the church explained that they got to know of the situation last week Friday. Musical instruments kept in the church building has been stolen amist this Covid-19 restrictions.

According to him the thieves broke through the windows of the church and took along some instruments speakers, mixers and some other items that wealth about Ghc3,000.00.

He said that, they have reported the case to the Police service in Berekum and an arrest is yet to be effected. "The police has assured investigations are still ongoing to trace the perpetrators" he added.

The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum.
