BEREKUM WEST BEGINS MECHANIZATION OF BORE HOLES TO FIGHT COVID-19.

The Berekum West District in the Bono Region has begun drilling of mechanized bore holes and expansion of water projects for the people in the district to help fight Covid-19.   

The construction of bore holes in the district comes after directives were given by the President, Nana Akufo Addo to all MMD's to provide water in various public places such as markets, bus stations, etc. This intervention is to enhance easy access to portable water to fight Covid-19.

Hon. Isaac Osei - Berekum West DCE in an interaction with the media said, water is an essential commodity which must be made available to all and this is the time to take the opportunity and build water to help fight Corona virus.
He outlined communities that will benefit from the initiative "at least four mechanized bore holes are to be construct at Koraso market, Fetentaa market, Benkasa market and Jinijini market with extension to Jinijini Health Center, Jinjini taxi station, Fetentaa Lorry station, Domfete market and other public places within the district". Our sole aim is to enable people have access to water as we fight this pandemic.

He added that the assembly has taken a delivery of 2000 nose marks from the President Nana Akufo Addo for distribution and the assembly also have made 2000 nose marks in addition which have since been already distributed to the people.
Some of the traders at the Jinjini market who are to benefit from the mechanized bore holes water thanked the President Nana Akufo Addo and the DCE, Hon. Isaac Osei for supporting them with all the things needed in the fight of Covid-19. The market women said they have been provided with water, Veronica buckets, soap and sanitizers to fight the virus.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
