Some Ghanaians living in Libya are demanding further information from the Ghanaian Embassy in Tripoli. The demand comes after a letter dated 7th April 2020 was informing them of a registration of Ghanaian nationals in Libya.

The are therefore calling for an explanation from the President, Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo.

According to a member of the Federation of Ghanaian Cultural Associations - Mr. Kwaku Togbwe who spoke to Alrich24newsgh.com, this is not the first time they are being asked to register with the embassy. "We have been experiencing this always, it is a means to extort monies from us". He again questioned why this is being done amidst Covid-19.

He again called on the President of Ghana and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration; Hon. Shirley Ayorkor Botchway to come out and explain why if they instructed the Embassy to undertake such exercise in these abnormal times and is it really true that they have assigned them in that direction.
