The survey however showed GHC 9,177.10 as remittance in 12 months. All these monies were received by citizens of Berekum through some financial institutions in the town. Quite apart from the monies received as remittance, there are other people and institutions who also transact businesses with the banks in the town since Berekum is known to be the business hub of the Bono Region.

According to information Alrich24newsgh.com gathered, some of the banks operating in the Golden City are not  helping the people of Berekum in terms of their cooperate social responsibilities.
In as much as the banks are ensuring social distancing and hands washing protocols, the town is yet to see their utmost commitment in supporting the fight of Covid-19.

Berekum East and West is yet to see them donating protective equipment to any health facility most especially at the Holy Family Hospital a treatment Center of Covid 19 in the region whiles other banks are supporting their coummunities in this time we are fighting Covid 19.
Better still, they may be waiting for a case to be announced before they come on board to support.

Remittances alone proves how fertile it is to do business in Berekum.
Berekum deserves better from some financial institutions operating in the town.

According to the Data Production Unit of GSS on presentation of Baseline Assessment of Household Remittances in Ghana revealed that a greater proportion of the remittances came from emigrants residing in the United States of America followed by the United Kingdom then Germany and Italy.
