Covid 19, Landlord donates mechanized bore hole to community in Berekum.

              LANDLORD DONATES MECHANIZED WATER TO COMMUNITY

The CEO of Abaa Printing Press and ESKOM Educational Centre in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region, Mr. Asiedu Arthur a.k.a. Abaa has donated a mechanized bore hole water to the people of Brenyekwa, Zaabo Zongo and those around Presec and it's environs.

According to Mr. Abaa, everyone is doing their best to support the fight against covid-19. "I have seen people donating Veronica buckets, sanitizers, soaps, tissues, etc. I have also decided to offer free portable water to this community. Water is indeed life and we have seen it saving lives in these trying times. It has helped reduce the spread of the virus hence my decision to donate water to the people".
He continued that "the community will fetch the water free of charge which in a way restrict movement of people as advised by Ghana Health Service".

Mr. Abaa admonished Ghanaians to support the fight against the virus as it is causing more harm in the world. "Let us all observed the preventive protocols for Covid-19".

The water facility is spacious with four taps to enhance social distancing. It also has a reservoir to keep the tap running throughout this period. The people in the community will freely enjoy the water in the next three months.

The community members upon hearing the announcement of free water has showered praises upon him for supporting them in this way to fight the Corona virus in the country. They thanked him to keep on helping the people always and promised to make good use of the water and would not misuse it.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Omanhene Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been nominated today at Manhyia Palace by the Omanhemaa of Berekum Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II. After a long anticipation over who would become the next paramount chief of Berekum Traditional Area of the Bono region which was gradually delaying in the selection of the next occupant of the Berekum paramount seat has been resolved amicably for the selection of Chief Nana Kofi Asante Krobea by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been unveiled, nominated and presented to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia palace today, 18th May, 2026.
