ZOOMLION VEHICLE RUNS OVER A 35 YEAR OLD MAN

One of the waste vehicles owned by waste management company, Zoomlion Ghana has killed a young man in Berekum. The vehicle belonging to the Berekum branch of the company crushed the head of a 35 year old man at Berekum Holy Family Hospital.

The young man who is alledged to be suffering from mentally illness was at the hospital for review. He died instantly after the back tyre of the vehicle crush on his head.

Speaking to Dr. Martin Attu a medical supervisor at the hospital said the patient had earlier been to the hospital for review and awaiting treatment. The young man ran into the vehicle and threw himself under it and as result crush his head.

He then appealed to people coming to the hospital with patients to always keep an eye on them to avoid such incidence reoccurring at the facility.

Mr. Peter Quaquo, the Human Resources Manager of the hospital added that, the Zoomlion Waste Management Vehicle daily conveys waste from the hospital which is a routine job and such unforeseen circumstances has never happened. He continued that the incident happened because the young man refused to be controlled by the people around him.

The police was informed about the incident and quickly rushed to the scene to take every detail report of the situation.

According to eye witnesses who spoke with Alrich24newsgh.com "the young man was struggling with the people he came with and left them to throw himself under the moving truck without the driver's attention, he ran over his head and died instantly. They explained that, the family travelled from Goaso with the patient for a medical review at the facility through which the incidence has occurred.

His body has since been deposited at the hospital morgue for autopsy.
