Holy Family Hospital issues directives to fight Covid 19 in Berekum.

HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL BEREKUM ISSUES MEASURES TO FIGHT COVID 19.

The Holy Family Hospital in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region in line to follow the directives of the President, Nana Akufo Addo to avoid the spread of the Corona virus, the management of the hospital has therefore make changes in their service delivery which includes.

1. The OPD services at the facility have been limited to only serious and urgent cases.

2. The Elective surgeries have also been suspended and only emergency surgeries will be conducted.

3. With the exception of one person that is care taker who will be with a patient on admissions, all visitors are not allowed. The care taker will be allowed to go out only on emergencies when the ward in-charge has issued him or her with a pass card. The necessary directions regarding suppof food and other items will be given to care takers during admissions.

4. All visitors to the hospital are prohibited. Only those for official business will be allowand to and entertain if they have sought prior permission.

5. No vehicle shall be allowed into the hospital except Ambulances carrying patients or vehicles carrying patients who is or are unable to walk.

6. The third gate of the hospital shall be closed to both traffic and humans until further notice.

7. All persons visiting the hospital are strictly required to use the first gate and they must comply with the directives of the security guards.

8. Only vehicles carrying corps or intending to pick corps to and from the morgue will be allowed through the mortuary gate. Visiting of the bodies at the mortuary shall not be allowed.

Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com Mr. Henry Amankwaa a member of the rapid response team said above measures are ways the hospital has put in place to help minimize the level of human contacts in the hospital and to create a safe environment for their patients and staff.

In addition to these arrangements at the hospital, the general public are highly observed and practice the under-listed safety precautions.

1. Wash your hands regularly with soap under running water.

2. Use hands sanitizers as much possible.

3. Avoid overcrowding in public places and vehicles.

4. Keep at least 2 meters distance when interacting with people.

5. Stay at home as much as possible

These are some of the precautionary measures that has been laid down at the Berekum Holy Family Hospital which has been approved by the Health Service Administrator Rev. Sister Renna V. John.

THE SKY TRAIN SAGA—WIld Goose Chase. The Sky Train project which received considerable media coverage during Nana Akufo-Addo’s regime has resurfaced.
