Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah MP for Berekum East donates Ghc15,000.00 and Veronica buckets to fight Covid 19 in Berekum.

BEREKUM EAST MP DONATES GHC15,000 AND VERONICA BUCKETS TO FIGHT COVID-19.

The MP of Berekum East Constituency in the Bono Region, Hon. Dr. Kwabena Twum-Nuamah has donated an amount of Ghc15,000.00, Veronica buckets, sanitizers, tissues, soaps and basins to the Berekum East Municipal Health Directorate to be distributed to the various institutions in the municipality to fight Covid-19.

The institutions which benefited from the donation included, Municipal Health Directorate, Holy Family Hospital, Education Office, Ministry of Agric department, Ghana National Fire service, Traders, Disabled Rehabilitation Center, PROTOA, GPRTU and many others.
On behalf of the MP, the NPP Chairman for the constituency; Mr. Kwaku Kamkam presented Ghc15,000.00 to the Municipal Health Director to assist financially the fight against Covid-19. Adding that the donation is in line to support the municipality financially in it's fight against the virus and help limit the spread of the Corona virus.

He said, the MP who is a Medical Doctor and the Chairman of the Parliamentary Select Committee on Health understands all the necessary preventions for fighting Covid-19 - hands washing that is why he has again supplied Veronica buckets, sanitizers, soaps, basins and tissues to the addition of what he has already provided in the town.
He therefore pleaded on the Municipal Health Director to make good use of the donation.
Receiving the items was the Municipal Health Director Dr. Bidema Duut thanked the MP for his kind gesture to help fight Covid-19.
He said, although the MP has done well with the donation, he will still request for Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs) like hand gloves, nose masks, clothes and foot gears for the frontline workers in the municipality.
Dr. Duut explained that, Berekum Holy Family Hospital has been selected as Covid-19 treatment center in the Bono Region, so there is the need to support them with equipment. He urged the people of Berekum to always wash their hands with soap under running water, observe social distancing, application of hand sanitizers and stay home for that is the only way to overcome Coronavirus.

Institutions that benefited from the donation thanked the MP for the good done them.
They called on others to do same to save lives in Berekum because together we can eradicate Corona virus from Ghana.
