Bono Regional Minister inspects both Berekum East and West disinfection exercise to fight Covid 19, watch live video as she visits central market.

BEREKUM EAST AND WEST EMBARK ON FUMIGATION EXERCISE.

Berekum East and West have duly fulfilled fumigation in the towns per the directives given by the President. The Bono Regional Minister, Hon. Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson supervised the disinfection exercise at the Berekum Central Market, main station, Thursday market, Rawlings market, and other satellite market at Senase, Biadan, Kato, Mpatasie and principal streets in Berekum Municipality.
The same exercise was co-currently in operational at the Berekum West towns such as Jinjini streets and market, Jamdede streets, Adom new town, Amankowaa, Ayimom and other communities.
Hon. Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson was impressed with the good work undertaken by the Zoomlion sprayers in Berekum.
She thanked the MCE of Berekum East Municipal Hon. Kofi Adjei and the DCE of Berekum West District,  Hon. Isaac Osei for their hard work as the people of Berekum are complying with all the restrictions given them. She also commended the traders and transport unions in Berekum both GPRTU and PROTOA for obeying all the rules by refusing to come out to work and also preventing the drivers from working during the hours of the exercise.
Speaking to the DCE of Berekum West District, Hon. Isaac Osei said,
 the exercise started at exactly 5:00am and was to take place at all the 20 communities in the District and some of the offices within the district such as Jinijini health Center, education office and the assembly offices.
 
The Presiding Member of Berekum East Municipal, Hon. Joseph Baffour Awuah also added that the people of Berekum has fully obeyed the directives and this will help reduce the spread of the corona virus.

He therefore pleaded that this exercise should be part of the   government policy where fumigation of market centres will be done frequently.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
