BEREKUM WEST MP SUPPLIES 2000 DESKS TO SCHOOLS.
The Member of Parliament of the Berekum West Constituency of the Bono Region who also doubles as the Deputy Minister of Railways Development, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng has fulfilled a promised made to the teachers and students of the 25 Basic and Junior High Schools in the constituency. Agoogo as he is affectionately called, made this promise in 2019.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, the Constituency Chairman of NPP, Hon. Peter Asoma Boampong said that the MP in his promise to promote quality education, is donating the 2000 dual and mono desks to the schools who are in need of chairs.
According to him, the MP supported 2019 BECE candidates with mathematical sets all to enhance quality education in the district.
The first batch of schools that have received their desks includes Benkasa, Nanasuano, Amomaso, Nsapor and Domfete each receiving over 150 desk and 10 teachers tables and chairs to augment teaching and learning. The donations of the chairs will continue to cover all the 25 basics and JHS in the Berekum West Constituency.
The Chief of Nsapor, Osaberima Yeboah Dartey who received over 70 chairs for his people thanked the MP for his kind gesture to the school. He therefore requested again for construction of JHS block which was ripped off three years ago. He reinstated his believe in the MP that through his hard work, will bring change to the people in the town.
At Domfete, the chiefs and people also welcomed the MP's teams as they received 150 chairs. Osaberima Kusi Yeboah the chief of Domfete also thanked the MP for supporting education in his town. He therefore appealed for an ICT center and the reconstruction of their KG block when necessary.
The headmaster of the Nspaor JHS, Mr. Kwaku Appiah also expressed his gratitude to the MP for the support he has given them to transform education in the area.
Some of the school children expressed their appreciation to the MP for his timely intervention to rescue some of them from writing on the floors due to lack of chairs.
