Nana Asomah Hinneh promoted to COP by the President Nana Akufo Addo

Nana Addo promotes Nana Asomah Hinneh, 20 other police officers to higher ranks.


President Akufo-Addo has promoted five Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCOP) and 16 Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP).

Those who have been newly-promoted include the Director of Police Public Affairs, David Eklu who was elevated from the ACP to DCOP rank.


The promotions which followed the recommendation of the Police Council also take effect from January 1, 2020.

A statement from the police service making the announcement noted:

“The Police Administration wishes the newly promoted officers heartiest congratulations. Of particular mention from Officers of the Public Affairs Department is their Director-General, DCOP Mr. David S. Eklu.” Commissioners who have been newly promoted are:

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
