AKUAMOAH BOATENG FOUNDATION DONATES TO 350 WIDOWS IN BEREKUM.
Over 350 widows living in Berekum in the Bono Region have received Christmas packages with items like 5kg rice, oil, tin tomatoes and chicken.
Nana Akuamoah Boateng (II) Foundation, a Non-Governmental Organization which has undertaken the cost to support widows and the less privileged in society over 4 years has again, put smiles on the faces of widows in Berekum.
The foundation which is poised to help the needy also gives scholarship to brilliant but needy students.
Speaking to the media, the Administrator of the foundation, Mr Mensah Diawuo explained that the foundation which was initiated by Dr. Francis Akuamoah Boateng son of the late Berekum Chief, Nana Akuamoah Boateng to uplift the living conditions of the less privileged especially women.
The administrator said the foundation will keep supporting the needy in the society as well as brilliant but needy students.
Not only did they donate items to the widows, they were also screened to know their health status.
Mr. Mensah Diawuo made a humble plea to well meaning Berekum citizens to also emulate what Nana Akuamoah Boateng Foundation is doing to support the needy in Berekum.
