5 SHS OF BEREKUM RECIEVES FREE BOOKS FROM EOHOPE FOUNDATION


EoHOPE FOUNDATION AKCOMLIP GHANA DONATES BOOKS TO BEREKUM SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS.


The CEO of E-Hope Foundation, Her Royal Majesty of Kato in the Berekum Municipality of the Bono Region, Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III has presented books to five senior high schools in Berekum to celebrate her 61st birthday.

EoHope Foundation Ackomlip Ghana, a Non-Governmental Organization based in Berekum is an education-oriented Organization which aims to transform people through reading.

The Organization's vision is to encourage students to read a book every week through their free reading books distribution.

As part of their routine distribution of free books to various schools to encourage reading, the CEO of EoHope Foundation who's birthday celebrations fell on 25th of July 2019, used the occasion to distribute over 1000 books to all the SHS to boost learning.

According to the Her Royal Majesty, the time is now for students to inculcate the habit of reading which will help them in their education.

She said, reading should be part of every child's life and urged the students to read a book every week as part of a learning culture.

Some of the Schools that benefited from the donation includes Berekum Senior High School, Berekum PRESEC, All For Christ SHS, Methodist SHS and Star SHS.

Nana Katohemaa urged the students to make good use of the books to climb higher in the educational ladder. She finally appealed to benevolent Organizations and individuals to come to the aid of the fundation to enable them to effectively distribute more books to school children.

The Director of Education in the  Berekum Municipal, Mrs. Grace Ivy Ameyaw thanked Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III for her kind gesture to supply free books to all the SHS to support their studies.
She said no society can do away with educational and thinks EoHope Foundation Ackomlip Ghana is on the right track to help children acquire the knowledge they need to achieve their dreams in life. She commended the foundation to keep on with the good works to supply books to all corners of Berekum to encourage reading.

She promised that, the Education Directorates will ensure that the students will read the books to their benefits in all the various Schools who received them.

The Mentor Of Akcomlip Ghana, Ms. Augustina Kyeraa also expressed her feelings for being a mentor for the fundation.

She said Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III, has the passion to help educate children by encouraging them to read thus the donation of the books to the Berekum Schools.

Akcomlip Ghana, Mentor Augustina emphasised that reading is what has made some people great in this world and gaining the inspiration to read is an important aspect students must adopt.

She explained that, according to Frederick Douglas "It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men." So she urged the students to learn hard since all their dreams and aspirations have been the dream of others.

The Headmaster of Berekum Methodist Technical and Senior High School, Mr Enoch Mensah Febri also on behalf of all the five Schools wished her Royal Majesty Nana Afia Siraa Ababio III a long life as she celebrated her birthday and thanked her for supporting the schools with reading books and promised to make judicious use of them.

Sunyani East, Kotokrom-New Dormaa Tarred Road Gets Second Seal. The ongoing construction of the major road of the New Dormaa-Kotokrom road in the Sunyani Municipality of the Bono Region which was recently primer sealed for the final seal started today Saturday 16th March. 2024 to complete the one-sided of the road. Government has intention of asphalting that high way in the near future. For the mean tine it is being tarred to prepare grounds for an asphalt overlay.
