BEREKUMMAN CITIZENS ASSOCIATION COMMENDS BEREKUM MUNICIPAL ASSEMBLY

The Berekumman Citizens Association,  a well known Association in Berekum and Ghana as a whole, has commended the Berekum Municipal Assembly headed by Hon. Kofi Adjei and presided by Hon. Joseph Baffour Awuah respectively for demolishing the "wee" ghetto base situated at the two electoral areas in Berekum Amangoase and Kankoma which was funded by the municipal assembly.
The Association which has branches and members all over the world has expressed their joy over the destruction of the 30 years "wee" base in the heart of the City.
The Chairman of Operations , Master Ali Mohammed , in conversation with the media thanked the MCE, Hon. Kofi Adjei for the hard work done in responding to social miscreants to bring it down in Berekum. He also commended the the presiding member Hon. Joseph Baffour Awuah as well as the two assembly members Hon. Sadiq Abdullah and Hon. Rashid Ahmed who also helped by making sure that the place was cleared till completion.
Master Ali Mohammed again suggested to the Municapal assembly to use the evacuated land for something productive.
He called on the assembly to allow the artisans, wood Sellers and the other agencies to utilize the land.
He encouraged the assembly to keep up with the good work.
On the Berekum East MP, Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah lobbied projects which are underway at the Berekum Rawlings Market redevelopment and the Thursday Market paving of floors with blocks deserves a commendation but calls for a speedy construction of the two projects by the MP and the contractors so that our women will get a good place to trade to support the socio-economic progress in Berekum.

The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740. BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council.
