 MUNICIPAL RECORDS 3 FIRE OUTBREAK IN FIRST QUARTER OF 2019

The latest fire outbreak that hit Berekum Ayakorasi-Dominase Electoral Area in the Berekum East Municipality last Friday , 1st March, 2019, has brought a heavy cost over millions of Ghana Cedis to the affected individuals.
According to information Alrich24newsgh.com has gathered, but unconfirmed by Ghana fire services, the source of the fire outbreak,  according to eye witnesses is that it all started from a flour mill structure situated to an enclosed place and it spread to a chop bar, 2 drinking spots, corn mill , a wholesale supermarket, hairdressing saloons and a 5 bedroom house which were all located in the same place.
For the timely intervention of Dormaa Ahenkro, Sunyani and Nsuatre Ghana Fire Services departments, the affected area were rescued and the fire was brought under control.
The question most people are asking is why Berekum fire tender couldn't help at the time their service was badly needed. The Berekum Municipal Fire service command explained that, that the vehicle was faulty and it was not in good shape to be used to control the fire out break. Residents were not pleased with the fire service department for their failure to respond to the fire outbreak.
The Assembly Member for the area, Hon. Owusu Charles explained that no death or physical injuries were recorded but a huge cost have been incurred by the shops and lost property owners in the area.
The Municipal NADMO Team headed by Mr. Kojo Agyekum visited the scene to access the situation and promised to support them by the government.
The MCE of Berekum East, Hon. Kofi Agyei also visited the scene to console those who lost their properties to the disaster. He said being the head of the Municipal Security Council (MUSEC) , will do his best to find the cause of the fire. He promised to see to it that the Municapal fire tender will be operational in the coming days.
Meanwhile as part of the monthly clean-up exercise organized by the Berekum Municipal Assembly to Clean the environment , most especially , the streets and gutters of Berekum including the Central market and Rawlings market, Berekum Omanhene, Nana Daasebre Dr. Amankona Diawuo II and Omanhemaa, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III, and Divisional Chiefs also paid a visit those who lost their properties to the fire disaster after the clean up exercise which Nana Omanhene and Omanhemaa took part, and assured them that Nananom will also do their best to support them.

Berekumman Citizens Association which also have Berekum cleanliness at heart also took part of the clean up exercise which happened on Saturday 2nd March, 2019. The Association members also visited the fire disaster scene and assured them of the Association's support.

The fire service command is yet to come out with the cause of the fire outbreak which happened on last Friday 1st March, 2019.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum.

25-Year-Old Young Man Electrocuted in Berekum . A suspected thief by the name Oboshie in his 25 years has been electrocuted at Berekum Nyamebekyere in the Berekum East Municipal of the Bono region . According to eye-witnesses, the suspected thief's lifeless body was found on the food vendor metal container as he attempted to steal from the container of the vendor who operates in a metal container. His death attracted a crowd of the Berekum people to the scene on the street of Nyamebekyere as everyone wants to catch a glimpse of the deceased over the incident of frequent robbery attacks and stealing in the Municipality.
