B/A CELEBRATES INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY

                               CELEBRATING WOMEN FOR BETTER WORLD

As the world marks INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY  today, 8th March 2019, with the  theme "BALANCE FOR BETTER" I would like to wish all women across the country especially those us in three new regions carved out of the Brong Ahafo Region.

I believe that a balanced world is a better world. On that note,  let us all promote gender balance in affirmative action to make our world a better place for all. In promoting affirmative action for women across the world, I would also like to admonish all women to live up to the task when given the opportunity to serve. We cannot afford to be tagged as mediocre.

How can we help forge a more gender-balanced world? Let us get involved in the process of nation building through various community services and organisational activities. Let us organise ourselves as women and support each other for greater opportunities.

We are urged to celebrate women's achievement this year. I therefore take this opportunity to congratulate all women who have taken it upon themselves to serve their society at the various levels in the region and gained major recognition especially Dr. Evelyn Ama Kumi Richardson, the MCE of Sunyani Municipal and Regional Minister Designate for Bono Region. May all women in the three regions of Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East be inspired and strengthened by your success story.

I also congratulate all queen mothers in our regions for your service to the people of Bono, Ahafo, and Bono East Regions.

Congratulations once again to all women especially the gallant women of the New Patriotic Party. We can do better for a better world.

Long live INTERNATIONAL WOMEN'S DAY!
Long live AFFIRMATIVE ACTION!
Long live WOMEN IN POLITICS!
Long live WOMEN IN GHANA!

....Signed....
Doris Asomah,
Regional Director, School Feeding Program ,
1st Vice Chair Hopeful, Bono Region.
