The Church of Pentecost in the Berekum Area of the Brong Ahafo Region in fulfilment of their corporate social responsibilities has done it again quite apart from painting the Berekum Divisional Police Headquarters 2 years ago. They have today Thursday 7th February, 2019 donated a brand new APSONIC motor bike to the Berekum Police Division wealth about Ghc6,000.00 to support the police service in their preparation to fight crime within Berekum and it's environs. Presenting the motor bike, the Area Apostle of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Anthony Kingsley Miah explained that, fighting crime is a shared responsibility, therefore the church socially decided to present the motor to the police to support their activities.
He said, the church in doing this is another way to support the police to cramp down crime in Berekum. Apostle A.K. Miah emphasised on the Church of Pentecost theme of the year "Possessing The Nations with the Word of God" for the next 5 years, said, for the police to be accessible to the citizens to reduce crime in our communities, given them this motor bike is one way for them to be accessible. He urged the police to keep on to work hard and take the citizens security at their heart to protect life and properties all the time in Berekum. He said without the police, the security of the people will be in ruins.
The Divisional Police Commander, ACP Ebenezer Ampofo on his part thanked the Berekum Area Church of Pentecost for their kind gesture to come to the aid of the police. He said, without the citizens, the police service will not be functional.
He therefore called on the citizens to help the police to discharge their duties well. He made an appeal for more support to help them reduce the crime rate in Berekum and it's surrounding towns. ACP Ebenezer Ampofo promised to keep the motor bike in good use and to maintain it to combat against all forms of crime that will emanate from Berekum.
