The Berekum West District Chief Executive (DCE) in the Brong Ahafo Region, Hon. Isaac Osei has opened the District Education Office at Jinjini the District capital to help facilitate educational progress in the district.
Opening the office, Hon. Isaac Osei said, it was his wish to get the office for the staff of the directorate to begin work after he was appointed as the DCE and now the vision has come to pass.
He said education is the bedrock of every society therefore advised the staff to work hard to bring total transformation in the education sector within the district.
He once more thanked the President Nana Akufo Addo for the support given him to manage the newly created District with the development it deserves which has now the opening of a new Education.
 He explained that, the assembly will keep on supporting their efforts to promote education in the district.
The Berekum Municipal Education Director Mrs. Grace Ivy Ameyaw who assisted the DCE to open the office also thanked Hon. Isaac Osei and the technocrats of the assembly for helping to get District Education Office.
She advised the newly appointed staff at the office to give off their best to make sure education will find it's peak in the district and asked them to take their work very seriously.
She said, though the office is new but urged the staff to keep the place tidy and maintain the equipments at the various offices. She said, what the DCE has done  indicates that he has  education at  heart, therefore they should all support him to achieve the common goal of the District.

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. Berekum Katohemaa reinntroduces Traditional Akan Games for Children at Kato Community.
