BEREKUM WEST MP GIVES 200 KVA 3-PHASE TRANSFORMER TO JINIJINI TOWN



BEREKUM WEST MP DELIVERS THE CONSTITUENT'S MANDATES

The Member of Parliament (MP) for Berekum West Constituency, Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng a.k.a Agogo who also doubles as the Deputy Minister of Railways has fulfilled one of the mandates of the Constituents living at Jinijini Pentecost and Post Office Electoral Area.
Hon. Kwaku Agyenim Boateng on Thursday, 17th January, 2019 supplied a 200 KVA-3PHASE Transformer to the two electoral areas  who have suffered a total blackout of electricity power for the past two weeks. The people are happy to see their power restored  by the MP.
The two electoral areas businesses were heavily affected especially Cold stores and Metal Welders operators were not able to get electrical power  for their daily activities because of the transformer breakage.

The MP promised the people to supply them with the new transformer during a community durber at Jinjini Church of Pentecost some few days ago which he has done.

According to the Berekum branch Officer of Northern Electricity Development Corporation (NEDCo), Mr. Eric Ofori, the two areas have  already been provided with two 50 KV Transformers yet could not supply the maximum energy they need. These however, have all damaged. Hence it was very difficult to get the people electrical power restored. He said for the timely intervention of the MP  the people have got a brand new transformer which was installed immediately it arrived.
Speaking on behalf of the MP, the Constituency Chairman of the NPP, Hon. Peter Boampong also expressed his gratitude to the MP for supplying the people a brand new transformer.
He called on the people to use their electricity very judiciously and always make prompt payment of their bills and charges to avoid disconnections. He also caution them of the illegal connection which brings about power overload that destroys  transformers.
The affected people also expressed their joy and thanked the MP for supplying them a brand new transformer. They  said it is really a timely intervention which they were not expected at such a short period.
The MP who has also for some months ago donated two Kia Rino trucks to the farmers in the Constituency to take them to their farms and back also received gratitude from the people of the area for what he is doing for them socially and economically.
