BEREKUM PASTORS HOLDS VICTORY NIGHT 2019 FOR GOLDEN CITY


BEREKUM LOCAL COUNCIL OF CHURCHES HOLDS 2019 BEREKUM FOR CHRIST PRAISES AND PRAYER NIGHT

The local council of churches in the Berekum Municipal of the Brong Ahafo Region have on 6th January 2019 held the first ever Berekum for Christ Praises and Prayer Night with the purpose of thanking God for the peace He has given to Berekumman. This happened on the Berekum Omanhene's park.

The Chairman of the Local council of Churches and also the Berekum Presbyterian District Pastor, Rev. Kwaku Twum Berimah in his speech referred to what the Bible said that,  in all things we should give Praise and Thanks to God who has given us a life to live hence calling people to meet and Praise God is a step in the right direction.
He said that God has done a lot for the people of Berekum and for that matter the people of Berekum has no option but to come together to worship God and also to pray and ask for more blessings in the year 2019.
He said that this year is a year the people of Berekum are expecting a bountiful success from God and also expect Him to bring a total transformation to Berekum City. He said though many people in Berekum lost a lot of money in the elsewhile financial activities that hit the town due to the collapse of DKM, God is Love Fun Club, Jasta Motors, Perfect Edge and others.  He however,  believe that with  God everything shall be over only if the people pray.
Delivering the Sermon, the Regional Superintendent of Assemblies of God,  Rev. Adu Yeboah emphasised the need to praise God for all His goodness. He further  said that not all towns have come  this far as far as Berekum is concerned.
He said God has done a great thing for the people of Berekum, it is therefore for the town  to come together to lift God up through Praises and prayers that will take Berekum to the highest level.
Rev. Adu Yeboah commended Berekum Traditional Council most especially the Omanhene and Omanhemaa of Berekum, Dasebre Dr Amankona Dewuo II and Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III respectively and their sub-chiefs for their support to see Berekum progressing.
He urged the people to rally behind the leaders in Berekum to develop the golden city.

The Omanhemaa Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III who represented the Traditional Council also thanked the local council of churches for organizing such an event to Praise and pray for Berekum.
She encouraged the youth to always participate in an event that will draw them to God than ones that would not bring glory to the God.
She again congratulated the organizers for the program and also thanked the Christians who made it a point to honor the invitation to partake in such an event.

Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II Passes On. The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. The announcement of his demise was welcomed by a host of chiefs and dignitaries from all walks of life including the Paramount Queen mother of Berekum, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II, A

A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms. She started her basic education at Solomon Bennet Memorial School in Sunyani from her infancy.  Priscilla's family and well-wishers are appealing to the government as a matter of urgency to help ensure the right course of study will be offer to her at her tertiary education level.
