CLASSICAL VOICES HOLDS GLORIOUS PRAISE 2019 IN BEREKUM

The Classical Voices Choir of Emmanuel Presbyterian Church in the Berekum Municipal has held a night of praise to the Lord entitled Glorious Praise to the Lord 2019.
This is the annual musical event which comes on every first week of the new month of the year and the sensational one was on Friday 4th January, 2019.
The musical night was hosted at the Emmanuel Presbyterian Church to welcome all the musical groups in the Municipality. The show was powerfully packaged to lift and adore the creator of Heaven and Earth, the Lord God Almighty and to entertain the people who were present. It was an occasion and artmosphere of musical tunes and dance by the participants.

In his speech to emphasise on the purpose of the gathering, the Berekum District Pastor of Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Rev. Kwaku Twum Berimah pointed out the importance of worshipping God. He said, God expect us to always come before His throne with songs of worship and sacrifice of praise unto His name. He also said that if you want to receive the favor of God, you have to worship Him.
The Music Director of Classical Voices Choir and Founder, Mr. Amos Kwame Andoh added that, the program was to draw people to their maker and also to promote Berekum through music. He said, this is another platform to bring the youth in Berekum together and in music they will be taken out from the world.
The attendance of the choirs and musical groups was superb as they performed and exhibited their musical skills to attract the audience attention.

The list of invited choirs and musical groups includes the following, Ebenezer Choir, Royal Choir, Cherubs Choir,
Adinkanfo Choir,
Emmanuel Missionaries, Resurrection Power and Living Bread Ministry Choir, Freeman Methodist Choir, St. Theresa's Avilla Choir, Trinity Choir,
Emmanuel Choir and Classical Voices Choir being the host choir for the 2019 Glorious Praise.
Some of the participants also expressed their joy and thanked the organizers for such a wonderful show to usher them into the year 2019. They called for more shows of such nature to be held in Berekum annually to draw the youth to Christ.

BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL ACCEPT EIGHT GAZETTED CHIEFS

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. A number of eight (8) Chiefs in the Berekum Traditional Area have performed their oaths of secrecy to be gazetted as the divisional chiefs of Berekum Traditional Council. The chiefs, numbering 8, got their titles as "Osaberima" to be added to their traditional and rulership names. A high court judge, Justice Baayeh, on the 6th day of November 2018, led the chiefs to sworn in the oaths of secrecy before a certificates of recognition was issued to the chiefs as a divisional chiefs. The gazetted 8 chiefs has been granted the opportunity and right to be part of any sittings of the traditional council and by so doing, all the 8 chiefs have been approved by the government of Ghana to be part of the judicial committee of the Berekum Traditional Council. Berekum Omanhene Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been nominated today at Manhyia Palace by the Omanhemaa of Berekum Nana Akosua Ameyaahene II. After a long anticipation over who would become the next paramount chief of Berekum Traditional Area of the Bono region which was gradually delaying in the selection of the next occupant of the Berekum paramount seat has been resolved amicably for the selection of Chief Nana Kofi Asante Krobea by Otumfuo Osei Tutu II. Nana Kofi Asante Krobea has officially been unveiled, nominated and presented to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II at the Manhyia palace today, 18th May, 2026.
