BEREKUM KORASO OUTDOORS NEW QUEEN MOTHER

The chiefs and people of Koraso in the Berekum West District of the Brong Ahafo Region has outdoored a new queen mother, Nana Adwoa Adu-Twumwaa as the Korasohemaa. The ceremony attracted a host of dignitaries including the Queen Mother of Berekum Traditional Area, Professor Obeng Ofori of Catholic University, Assembly Members, Berekumman Citizens Association members and the people of Koraso.


Nana Adwoa Adu-Twumwaa addressing the people of Koraso called for peace, unity and love to prevail among the people in the town. She added that they should all support her to achieve the best for the people of Koraso.
Nana Adwoa Twumwaa advised the youth to desist from taking in illicit drugs like tramadol, Indian hemp (wee), and other drugs that can destroy their future.
She said education is one of her goals and urged the youth to take their education seriously. She advised the parents to  also encourage their children to take up their studies solidly to realize their better future.
Nanahemaa thanked the farmers in the town for feeding them all this while and said they should keep on with their farming activities. She said, the government is doing everything possible to support farmers so they should not relent on their farming since farming has been the backbone for the people of Koraso and for that matter Berekum.
Nana Adwoa Adu-Twumwaa finally thanked everyone who has helped her to come to this far and also those who contributed to the success of her outdooring. The local Executives of Berekumman Citizens Association lead by Chairman Enoch Mensah Fabri, paid homage to the Queen Mother and supported her with the sum of Ghc 300.00 and pledged to provide for all the necessary contributions towards her leadership in the town.

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. Berekum Katohemaa reinntroduces Traditional Akan Games for Children at Kato Community.
