BEREKUM HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL RECEIVES TWO INCUBATORS AS THEY CELEBRATES 70TH ANNIVERSARY

The Holy Family Hospital in the Berekum Municipality of the Brong Ahafo Region at their 70th Anniversary celebration on 18th December, 2018 was fortunate to be presented with two incubators. The hospital which was only managing with one incubator to handle pre-term babies have been providential to receive two incubators from well endowed people of Berekum.
The MP of Berekum East Constituency, Dr. Kwabena Twum Nuamah as part of his 40th birthday and wife presented one incubator to the hospital and said God through the hospital saved his life when he was a child. According to him, being a Medical Doctor himself knows how the incubator will save lives especially the vulnerable babies. He explained that he turned the age of 40 this year and planned with his wife to donate the incubator to the hospital at the cost of Ghc15000.00.

In another development, a group of individuals living both in Berekum and abroad has come together to form Berekumman Citizens Association (BCA) also on their part to fulfill their benevolence responsibility donated one incubator wealth of about Ghc15000.00 and two breast-i Cancer machines at the cost of Ghc4,500.00 to the hospital.
On behalf of the hospital,  Rev. Sister Reena V. John the Adimistrator of the hospital received the equipments and thanked the MP and the Berekuman Citizens Association for their timely kind gesture at the time the facility was struggling with just one incubator which has compeled them to open a Kangaroo mother care unit to save more pre-term babies.
The 70th anniversary celebrations of the hospital attracted a lot of dignitaries including, the Bishop of Sunyani Diocese, Most Rev. Matthew Kwasi Gyamfi, the Omanhene and Omanhemaa of Berekuman Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr. Amankona Dewuo II and Nana Akosua Ameyaahene III respectively and their entourage, the Minister of Health, Hon. Kwaku Agyemang Manu, the MP of Berekum East, Hon. Kwabena Twum Nuamah, the MCE of Berekum East Municipal, Hon. Kofi Adjei, the DCE of Berekum West Hon. Isaac Osei, the Management Board of the Hospital and the general staff.

Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area, Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II Passes On. The Omanhene of Berekum Traditional Area in the Berekum Municipal of the Bono Region Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II has passed on. The announcement of the demise of the Berekum Traditional leader was done today Friday 9th June 2023 by the chief spiritualist of Berekum Nana Komfo Kofi who was asked to take care of the health of the paramount chief but on his announcement, the paramount chief could not make it but joined his ancestors. Dasebre Dr Amankona Diawuo II was a doctor by profession and an active Church elder of the Church of Pentecost who serve the people of Berekum with calm and peaceful leadership who seek to maintain peace and unity after 17 years of chieftaincy dispute during his reign as the paramount chief of Berekum. A Student of Ghana National College from Sunyani-Chiraa Scores 8A's in 2023 WASSCE.  A Senior High Student of Ghana National College in Cape Coast, Owusu Peprah Priscilla who hails from Chiraa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region has also scored 8A's in the West Africa Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).  Her effort and the results she obtained have brought great joy to her family and the people of Chiraa without hesitation wishing her congratulations on most of the social media platforms. She started her basic education at Solomon Bennet Memorial School in Sunyani from her infancy.  Priscilla's family and well-wishers are appealing to the government as a matter of urgency to help ensure the right course of study will be offer to her at her tertiary education level.
