BEREKUM HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL CALL FOR MORE ASSISTANCE

GERMAN BASED BEREKUM NATIVE DONATES TO HOLY FAMILY HOSPITAL.

A German based native of Berekum, Mr Kwabena Boakye Owusu as part of his family and partners tradition annually by their accustomed standards has donated hospital items worth of about Ghc50.000.00 to the Berekum Holy Family Hospital.
The items includes 19 wheel chairs, physiotherapy equipments, bedsheets, 2 ironing boards, 8 boxes of Pediatric items and many more.
Presenting the items, Mr Kwabena Owusu Boakye expressed that it has been part of his life every year to donate to the hospital. He urged his fellow friends and family abroad to always extend their hands to support the Hospital.
The Administrator of the Hospital Sister Reena V John, recieving the items thanked Mr Kwabena Owusu Boakye and his partners for their kind gesture at a time the hospital is celebrating it's 70th Anniversary. She also thanked all the hospital benefactors for their contribution towards the hospital's development especially the citizens of Berekum who resides abroad.
The Nursing Administrator of the hospital, Mrs. Veronica Adu Takyi added that though the hospital is 70 years but still need to be supported by philanthropics and other individuals because their neonatal ward has only one incubator. To this new one need to be added due to the number of deliveries in the facility. The hospital also serves as a referral center to the towns surrounding the Municipality of Berekum. The hospital is building a 100 bed capacity maternity block hence she pleaded for more hands to support the facility.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
