BEREKUM TO BENEFIT FROM GHANA-SINOHYDRO $2BILLION DEAL - MCE HOn. Kofi Adjei


BEREKUM MCE ASSURED TOTAL ROADS CONSTRUCTION FOR GOLDEN CITY

The MCE of Berekum Municipal Assembly in the Brong Ahafo Region, Hon. Kofi Adjei has assured the people of Berekum Municipality that they are going to witnessed a great transformation in the Berekum city in terms of roads infrastructure which he said Berekum has benefited from Ghana-Syno Hydro project initiated by the Nana Akufo Addo led administration which is to commence in 2019.
He said Berekum inner city roads will have 8 kilometer roads construction by next year right from January, which to the people of Berekum this is a good news to them because, is a lot that they are expecting from the NPP government particularly on development of Berekum roads.
Hon. Kofi Adjei made this statement in an exclusive interview with me which he said immediately the rain season is over, grading and patching of some roads with potholes which was going on will continue till the SinoHydro project begins in next year. He said the SinoHydro project coming to Berekum will also bring a face-lift in the two big markets in the town which are, the Berekum central Market and the Thursday Market.
He called on the people of Berekum to be calmed because everything is on course, he will do all he can to uplift the golden city to its dignify status which he said he will not compromised in anything as an MCE.
He said a lot of complaints and agitations that the Berekum people has raised against him concerning Berekum deplorable town roads to which he is not perturbed about it because, Nana Akufo Addo's government is focused to bring development to every part of the country which Berekum Municipality will not be left out.
The people of Berekum Municipal also expressed that they have waited for a long time to see a great change in the Berekum city which according to them nothing has been fulfilled about their roads and they are calling on authorities to do something about it as soon as possible since the drivers said they cannot bear it anymore with the poor and deplorable roads in the Berekum city.

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL.
