BEREKUM OMANHEMAA TO INSTITUTE NON-FORMAL EDUCATION FOR BEREKUM WOMEN

The Omanhemaa of Berekum Traditional Area in the Brong Ahafo Region, Nana Akosua Ameyaahene (III) who was officially and traditionally enstooled not less than over two months ago, has directed her attention to education to secure a brighter future for the women in Berekum. She has decided to institute a non-formal education for the women in Berekum who couldn't had a formal education.
Speaking to Alrich24newsgh.com said, because education is in her heart and it's her priority, she will release her house to start this Initiative to educate the women to acquire some skills and knowledge.
In her response to how this dream will be achieve said, she has requested for teachers from the Berekum Municipal Education Directorate to handle the classes for her at her house for the mean time.
She said every great idea start from a small point of ideas which she has tasked the women in Berekum to embrace this Initiative by involving themselves in the non-formal  education classes which she has establish especially the illiterate.
Nana Akosua Ameyaahene (III) said, cocoa, coffee and other cash crops which was being used to cater for the family in some years ago is not the case as we have witnessed these days but education. She explained that, the world has drastically change due to modernization and globalization therefore wants the women to follow the trend of life through education.
She has called on market women, traders, farmers and others in Berekum to participate in this free non formal education classes to upgrade themselves.
Nanahemaa pointed out that, if women are urged to take education serious, the return will be the benefit of the whole country.
She called on the well wishers and well endowed Citizens of Berekum both home and abroad to support her achieve all her dreams she has for Berekum.
Nana Akosua Ameyaahene (III) in her conclusion said, she will do her possible best to see that Berekum, the golden city will boost of a high level Educational Institution such as a university to be in the town.

NSOATRE TRADITIONAL COUNCIL CONDEMNS THE VIOLENCE ACT THAT RESULTED THE DEATH OF KOTOKO SUPPORTER. The Nsoatre Traditional Council has condemns the uncouth behavour of some of the football fans that led to the untimely death of an ardent supporter of Kumasi Asante Football Club.  According to Nsuatre Traditional Council this  unfortunate behaviour happened on the stool land of Nsoatre which the council sees as unfortunate due to the cordial relationship between Nsoatreman and Asanteman which is dated back to 1740.
