BEREKUM KYEREYAWKROM SCHOOL CHILDREN AFFECTED BY FLOODING

As part of Berekumman Citizens Association usual commitment of fulfilling their social responsibilities to the people of Berekum Municipal in the Brong Ahafo Region today has rescued the school children of Kyereyawkrom a  farming community in the Berekum Municipality who has been heavily affected and was locked up by the overflow of a river which does not have a bridge but only a wooden foot bridge  the community members has relied on collapsed.
It took the timely intervention of the Berekum Citizens Association team who was on their way to supply free Exercise Books sponsored by the association to the school children in the area.
The only wooden foot bridge which has collapsed made it difficult for the children to cross to the other side of the river at the school hours which they were cut off by the floods.


The assembly member of the Biadan East Electoral Hon. Apau Wonder who joined the team explained that the situation is very disturbing and it needs swift attention from the authorities in Berekum to help provide them with a concrete bridge.
The assembly member congratulated Berekumman Citizens Association for all the support the association is delivering to people of Berekum.
Berekumman Citizens Association has appealed to the Berekum Municipal Assembly Chief Executive Hon. Kofi Adjei as matter of urgency to do something for the people of Kyereyawkroma community especially about their dilapidated primary and JHS school stricture as well as the wooden foot bridge which the pupil cross to and fro to school everyday. Accordinge to community members they believe the Berekum Municipal Assembly has neglected them which they appealed for social amenities to be build for them.
Berekumman Citizens Association therefore took the opportunity to called on the people of Berekum in the various communities to rally behind the association to forged on its wheels to bring progress and development to the people of Berekum.

EIGHT (8) CHIEFS OF BEREKUM TRADITIONAL AREA GAZETTED AS DIVISIONAL CHIEFS IN BEREKUM TRADITIONAL COUNCIL. Berekum Katohemaa reinntroduces Traditional Akan Games for Children at Kato Community.
