The Rent Control Department wishes to inform the general public, particularly landlords and tenants, that following the issuance of the initial directive on the mandatory provision of rent cards by landlords to their tenants, extensive engagement have been held with landlord associations and other key stakeholders. In view of this constructive feedback received and the commitment demonstrated by stakeholders, the directive schedule to take effective on April 1st, which would have restricted services to landlords who fail to issue rent cards, has been temporarily put on hold until May 1st.
