First Time Voters Advised To Vote With Integrity in Berekum. Ghana Anti-Corruption Coalition, Ghana Integrity Initiative, Citizens Watch Ghana with support from the US Embassy Ghana has organised an education for some selected students of first time voters within Berekum East and West Constituencies respectively. Mr. George Yennekon, the Berekum East Municipal NCCE Director, elaborated that, the education seeks to enlighten the first time voters to be circumspect on their rights to vote devoid of being influenced with any financial or material gains. He said, electoral integrity is very important because the process involved in the elections should be free from intimidation and other intriguing challenges that may hamper the fairness of the elections. Fiapre Omanhene Donates Desktop Computers to Fiapre Circuit Court. The Omanhene of Fiapre, Obrempong Prof. Okyem Amponsah II, as part of his social responsibility to ensure security find it's place at Fiapre and it's environs in the Sunyani West Municipal of the Bono region has on 25th November , 2014 donated two desktop computers to the Circuit Court at Fiapre. On behalf of the Obrempong Prof, Nana Ofosu Gyeabour, Nana Osei Baffor, Akyempimhene and Nana Kwame donated the computers assuring them that, the chief will always come to their need when the need arises. On behalf of the court, the registrar expressed their appreciation to Obrempong Prof.Okyem Amponsah II for his kind donation towards the court. They again reminded the representative of the Obrempong Prof. about the promise he made to construct a fence wall for the court which they pleaded for urgent attention to fulfill the promise to complete it on time. Sampa Chieftaincy Clash, 41 Accused Persons Remanded in Custody for Two Weeks. The continued disturbances that has been ensued between the two factions at Sampa in the Jaman North District of the Bono region has led to the death of one individual and others wounded including a military officer on Friday 22nd November, 2024.  The Ministry of Interior has placed a curfew on the Sampa township since last October from 6am to 10pm, and the residents have to amend and find place for peace to reign and to smoke peace pipe by the two factions in the community. The rest of the people who were affected during the clash and wounded are currently at the hospital recieving treatment. Court Case: Six (6) out of Fourty Seven (47) accused persons of Fiday clash of the two factions at Sampa has been granted bill with Ghc20,000 each with two sureties The 6 includes 4 females and a 2 males.
