Sunyani Technical University rubbishes ‘fake’ PhD claims by Daily Guide, others. Management of the Sunyani Technical University (STU) has categorically denied a claim in some sections of the media that the Pro-Vice Chancellor of the institution, Professor Justice Solomon Korantwi-Barimah’s PhD is ‘fake.’ “We categorically deny this unfounded claim and urge the general public to disregard any such malicious publications”, the University stated in a Press Release issued in response to a publication titled “STU Pro-VC Sued For ‘Fake’ PhD” and published in an Accra-based tabloid, the Daily Guide, on September 9, 2024, and further published by dailyguidenetwork.com and some other online portals subsequently. STU Management is therefore asking all those spreading this falsehood to desist from further spreading the disinformation and character assassination in their own interest. Nkoranza Divisional Police Pursuing NDC Youth in Nkoranza for Retaliating by Pasting Posters on DRIP Equipment. The National Democratic Congress (NDC) youth in Nkoranza South Constituency, Bono East Region, have taken action against the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) parliamentary candidate by pasting their own posters on District Road Improvement Programme (DRIP) equipment. This move comes after repeated warnings to remove NPP posters from the equipment were ignored. The NDC youth argue that the DRIP project, funded by taxpayers, should not be used for political promotion. They emphasize that the equipment belongs to all Ghanaians, not just the NPP and their parliamentary candidates. On September 16, 2024, the NDC youth pasted posters of their Member of Parliament on the DRIP equipment, stating, "It's the government's money, funded by the taxes we all pay.
